We love supporting small Canadian businesses, so started one of our own! We treat our pets like family and believe they deserve nothing but the best we can offer them. We believe in high-quality food and treats, stimulating enrichment and buying Canadian, so that's what we will sell! Cute, functional accessories and fun art to decorate your space round out our current offerings, and we look forward to growing into a full-service pet shop in the Edmonton area!

WHY STAR QUALITY?
*most pet businesses are named after the ones that live in our hearts*
Our beautiful shepherd girls, Nova (RIP) and Astra were both named after literal stars, and Bucky the wannabe-barn cat - named after the Winter Soldier (who wears a star on his arm), gave us the idea to incorporate a celestial name honouring all of our fur babies while leaving 'space' to look to the future.
Quality is what we have always worked to provide them with, and we think all pets possess STAR QUALITY, and so the name was born!
It encompasses our own furmily and communicates what we stand for and strive to provide for all of your furry family members as well!

Star Quality Pets is a passion project that looks to support local and small businesses from Canadian coast to coast!
Buying Canadian has always been important to us, and has become even more of a focus in these times of tariffs and tribulations. By only offering Canadian businesses in our shop we can assure you that your hard-earned money is supporting fellow Canadians and local economies across our country, rather than disappearing into international corporations.
We have been fans of many Canadian pet businesses over the years and so when starting a shop we looked to our favourites FURst! Brands that we discovered at local markets while travelling in other provinces, that we have been feeding our own pets for years, and others that we have followed on social media and tried ourselves gave us the ability to personally attest to the high calibre of the products and brands we offer.
We look forward to opening a pet shop soon for in-person shopping - but stay tuned to find out where you can find us at local markets for offline purchasing!

We have included the categories of 'Astra Approved', 'Bucky Backed' and 'Novaworthy' to highlight the purr-ticular faves of our Stars.
Astra Approved - as a boisterous young lady, Astra doesn't turn her snoot up at much. She loves proteins, fruits, veggies and just about anything we'll let her ingest - this label lets you know what we have personally tried and loved in our home!
Bucky Backed - for the discerning feline family member...His highness did not want anything to do with single-ingredient protein treats until MIMI & SOSO's Freeze Dried Beef Tongue changed his whole purrspective on life! He now is a big fan of the things he deems worthy (mainly proteins) so this label lets you know that even the pickiest kitty will likely LOVE these paw-ducts!
Novaworthy - this silly girl was a very picky eater when it came to textures, fruits and veggies. While each pup's tastes may vary, this label FUR SURE will lead to things that even careful canines and dainty doggos will enjoy!
